Capturing Yesterday

If God has exploding knowledge, than I have exploding ignorance.

Most of the greatest lessons I’ve learned came about because I took the time to look back.  It turns out, I’m not all that great at processing valuable lessons in the moment and, as a result, I need to take the time to process what happened, where God was in it all, and what I’ve learned about Him, myself, and the world around me.

That thought is what is driving us to do this…to record what happened yesterday, so we can step into today with greater wisdom and faith.

I’m writing these posts for my kids.  Not my kids now…but my kids 20 years from now.  They’ll be in their mid-20’s by then and will have a different perspective of the life we provided them.  I want them to see fond memories through our eyes…not through the lens of a romanticized memory that robs of them of realistic expectations.
